So after a smooth day of travel through the rest of Virginia, North & South Carolina, and Georgia, we arrived in Atlanta around 4:30 yesterday afternoon. Had a chance to relax for a bit and catch up on some emails at the hotel…but 7pm was rally time! With the last bit of energy left in the tank, I rounded up the guys and we headed to Little Five Points to my favorite dinner spot…The Vortex Bar & Grill!  The weather was still nice and warm so we opted for the outdoor patio seating and stuffed our faces with the likes of Mac-N-Cheesy-Changas, Zombie Apocalypse Burgers, and Spicy Mighty Meaty Chili.

Eddy ended up staying out to surprise Rich (who had no idea Eddy was in Atlanta this weekend) at Smith’s Olde Bar to see the I.R.E. album release party featuring Sonic Bloom. Capone and I headed back to the hotel and after the food coma ensued, I lasted about 30 minutes, then fell swiftly asleep! Thanks to the ole Comfort Inn in Smyrna, GA I was able to get some much needed Z’s in and was ready to go when I woke up this morning.

First task of the day, headed to Image360 just up the road and go see Feroz & Waheeda for some new signage for the booth. Whenever I’m down in Atlanta, I’ll go see them for all of my signage needs! They always have great prices and great customer service, with very fast turnaround times. After Image360, Capone and I headed to the local Whole Foods and picked up some snacks and grub for the weekend.

Now we’re just waiting at the hotel before we can head down to start the set up in Olympic Park. Because of park rules, the setup can’t begin until after 5pm, which actually works out perfectly, because these afternoon showers should clear up by the time we arrive to set up…Score!
