  • Hello Firefly'ers,

Thank you so much for being part of the crew for Firefly Festival this year! It's one of our biggest events of the season, and I'm excited to work with you all.

We will have three (3) booth locations on site...two campground booths and one booth inside the venue. Each of the campground booths will be open 24 hours and the booth inside the venue will be open from 11a - 2a each day.

The plan is to head to Dover, DE on Sunday (9/18) to drop off vehicles and begin setting up the shelving units and other store structure stuff. Set up will continue on Monday (9/19) and Tuesday (9/20).

Patrons start arriving in North Campgrounds on Wednesday (9/21), so we need to be 100% ready to go by Wednesday morning at 8am. The South Campgrounds and Venue booths won't open until Thursday (9/22), but we'll still want to make sure these are pretty much ready to go by Wednesday as well.

Music is scheduled from Thursday afternoon - Sunday night. We will begin the breakdown process on Sunday night (9/25) and finish up the breakdown on Monday (9/26).

The earlier in the week you can arrive the better. There are plenty of hours for whoever is willing to work, so plan to arrive ready to rock!

One thing to note is that with large scale events like this, there are always eyes watching our every move, so everyone needs to bring their A game and be on point from the moment the arrive till the moment they leave the festival.

With that said, here are a few things that we expect from everyone who works with us:

    1. Starting the minute you arrive on site, you are a representative of Mr. B's Festival Needs! Everything you do...both positive and negative...is a direct reflection on the business. Do not do ANYTHING to jeopardize the business both on shift and off. This means treating EVERYONE you encounter in a friendly, respectful manner. You honestly never know who will walk into the booth.

    2. Being sober BEFORE and DURING your shift has always been an expectation, and will continue to be an expectation moving forward. Your time is your time as long as it doesn't affect your performance during my time!

    3. TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF: It's a long weekend and things will stay pretty busy. Be sure to set yourself up for success by staying hydrated, eating good meals, and getting good sleep whenever possible! We need everybody fresh when they arrive for their shift, so take care of yourself and watch out for the rest of crew as well.

    4. ASK QUESTIONS: We’d rather answer a million questions than fix a million mistakes. If you’re confused on a task, speak up...we’re happy to help. Communication is key!

    5. HONESTY & RESPECT - Just keep it real y’all...Honesty is the best policy and Respect is necessary to create a comfortable, friendly work environment for you and the rest of the crew.

We cannot emphasize enough how important it is to be there for your teammates. We need to be able to rely on each other and trust that we all have each other's back.

If everyone does a little, nobody has to do a lot.

Over the years we have worked to create a company culture that is focused on four core values: Freedom, Responsibility, Accountability, and Trust. We’ll provide you the Freedom to do your job in a way that allows you to be the best YOU that you can be, with the expectation that you take on the Responsibility of being a team player first and foremost. Being a team player means being able to Trust that you and your teammates are working together towards a common goal, and having the Accountability to make sure tasks are done correctly, and fixing them when they are not.

Just be mindful, and everything will go great. Thank you again for joining us at Firefly this year!

    Let’s go crush it,

    -Brendan
